Without doubt a name that everybody knows is Spencer Davis. I have been booking Spencer out now for over two decades. He has played many concerts worldwide for me over the years. Back in 2006, I booked Spencer on the Welsh legends concert at Chepstow Castle along with The Alarm and Dave Edmund's. The following day Animals and Friends was doing the same gig. Spencer stayed over to catch our show and have a chat. Spencer and John Steel had few drinks and talked about the good old days. The following day I asked Spencer if he fancied guesting with us. Once again the answer was yes. Now several years later and probably over a hundred gigs under the belt, Spencer is still one of our mainstay friends. We continue performing together all over the world even though Spencer is now in his seventies. Its a great pleasure playing the great Muff Winwood bass lines and singing some of the great Stevie Winwood vocals next to Spencer Davis who created the band. The songs performed include Gimme Some Loving, I'm a Man, Somebody Help Me, Every Little Bit Hurts, When I Come Home etc. If you ever get the chance to see Spencer you should go. Without doubt one of our national treasures.
